I admit I have NOT actually seen the English sub of TG: JACK yet, but having read the manga and seen the flash forward in the OVA I can’t help but wonder what happened between Arima and Fura.  Sure, it’s possible that they drifted apart over time as Arima grew even colder and more fully into CCG’s shinigami.  However, I can’t help but wonder at 2 things in particular: (1) the parallels that are being set up between Fura and Shirazu and (2) what Fura says about both Haise and Arima in Chapter 42 (e.g., “Sasaki might look like a good person, but underneath, he’s like Arima”; “Whatever mission you give them, it’s always a “’Yes, I understand.’”; and “Sasaki and that bastard Arima are really similar.”) really makes me think there may be more to the story.  I’m wondering if at some point Arima and Fura had a big clash and/or falling out about how far they were each willing to go…even in the name of the CCG and to protect humanity.  Did Arima cross a line that Fura couldn’t accept and, if so, what was it?  

Then the natural question that follows is that if Arima and Haise as well as Fura and Shirazu are being paralleled, is a similar falling out in the works for Haise and Shirazu and what or whom might it concern?  Lastly, I’m suddenly a bit more scared for Tsukiyama’s fate in the current fight since we were recently told that Haise may not be as much of a “good person” as he appears and is willing to carry out whatever mission he’s given…  I don’t have time to keep up with the fandom meta and discussion as much as I’d like to, so I apologize if someone else already made a similar post.  If not, I’d love to hear what others think about all this…
